The Basics of Selling on eBay Class:
This class/workshop is designed to introduce beginners, novice or those with minimal knowledge of eBay to the exciting world of selling on eBay in Shelley's home office. This can be your first step toward joining the more than 1.3 million people currently using eBay as a primary or secondary source of income. This course will cover everything you need to know to get started selling on eBay and points out the many advantages of selling on eBay as well as providing the fundamental skills needed to list and sell items immediately. Set in her eBay home/office and in a small group setting, you will feel at home and comfortable. Please feel free to bring your laptop as free Wi-Fi is available. Course and Topic Outline:
- Understand the size and selling opportunities of eBay
- Identify safety features eBay has in place for safe transactions
- Learn how to register and become a seller on eBay
- Understand PayPal and how to create an account
- Select an item to sell, research the item, and determine its value
- Know the four basic fees with selling on eBay
- Identify the components of a successful listing
- Create titles and descriptions that will attract buyers
- Describe the various types of pricing and format strategies for selling
- Use best practices for packing and shipping an item
- Use your own research to create a listing
- Explore the methods for adding price, payment, shipping information, and return policy to the listing
- Review and submit your listing to sell your item
- Monitor your eBay listings using My eBay
- Handle items that do not sell
- Take steps to complete a sale
- Manage payment and shipping options
